Caframo was excited to be a part of this year’s Gulf Coast Conference, held this month in Galveston at the Moody Gardens Convention Centre. Sharing the newest equipment, instruments, and advances in Chemical Analysis Technology, the Gulf Coast Conference is a sold-out exhibitor event that fosters sharing of knowledge in the Petrochemical, Refining, and Environmental fields.
While this year’s GCC was a first for Caframo, many attendees immediately recognized Caframo overhead stirrers and accessories currently in use in their facilities. Others new to Caframo products were eager to learn about the wide range of features and capabilities available. The Crossover 1540 drew much attention. Not only portable, the ½ hp mixer for drum scale volumes was favoured for its PC/PLC communications. The Reversing Digital 2010 was another show highlight, noticed for its programmable timer and reversibility options. Whether added to a reaction system to run 48 hours continuously or setting the countdown timer to stop agitation after 15 minutes, many attendees identified an application in their lab for the 2010 model. Including the Ultra Torque 1850 and Universal 3030 being identified for high viscosity resins and polymer synthesis, and the Petite 250 for environmental wastewater testing, every model in Caframo’s product line had a fit for a stirring application discussed at the GCC.
In addition, Caframo was able to meet with several distributors at the show and connect them with customers who had immediate needs and questions. This presented many great opportunities for face to face conversations and insights into specialized mixing applications where we could help. The Caframo Stirrer and Mixer Guides continue to be the one thing that customers want to carry home. They reference key data specs for the full line of Caframo overhead products and accessories to get stirrer users to the product that will do the job for them. We discussed TENV housings, portable stands, dispersion blades and PTFE impellers and a lot more! The Gulf Coast Conference 2018 was a rewarding educational and interactive event, and we look forward to deepening the knowledge and relationships gained there.
